Do you have a low Pitched Roof?

The pitch of your roof, governs the roof covering available to you. Tiles, slates and all roof coverings have a minimum pitch they can go down to. Using a tile below its minimum pitch can cause you major problems. So, how do you get around this? Luckily there are a few options available.

Tile Choice:

There are several tiles on the market that have been produced specifically to accommodate low pitches.

Membrane:

Klober Permo Extreme

  • Permo Extreme is perfect for roof pitches as low as 12.5°. The fitted self-adhesive strips provide water tightness and strong protection against winds. However, you will need to bare in mind that you will need to counter batten when using this product.
  • This membrane also has a Butylon tape to pair alongside the felt. The Butylon tape should be laid on top of the membrane and underneath where the battens are due to be fixed - it is essential that the batten nail passes through the tape to avoid water tracking through.
