Breather Membranes

We carry the Market Leader Proctor Roofshield in stock. Roofshield is a three layer, non-woven spunbonded, polypropylene breather membrane with a patented melt-blown core.

Roofshield provides a secondary barrier to the ingress of rain, wind and snow. It has a low vapour resistance and is air permeable, additionally it eliminates interstitial condensation in pitched roofs. Roofshield is welcomed by the NHBC and due to its high performance levels, it reduces the requirement of additional ventilation materials being added into the roof design, saving time and money.

Sandtoft VPM Classic membranes can be used with all concrete and clay roof tiles and are suitable for both warm and cold roof designs on any roof shape and building.
They perform all the functions of good quality roof underlays and provide many benefits over the traditional bituminous underlays, helping to avoid condensation in the roof space.
Our membranes act as a secondary line of defence, protecting the internal roof substructure against wind driven rain and snow, safely draining it away to the gutter or other rainwater system. These underlays also reduce the wind loading on roof tiles and act as a temporary roof covering.

Permo Air is a low resistance air-open roof underlay, suitable for pitched roofs. It is the ideal solution where there is a high risk of condensation forming in the roofspace; particularly during the drying out period of a building. Permo Air roof membrane is BBA approved and NHBC accepted without the need for additional high-level ventilation, saving time and cost.
We also stock IKO Rubershield, which you can find more information on here
